In the “Proposal on Implementing the “Cornerstone Plan” to Improve my country’s Iron Resources Guarantee Capability”, He Wenbo said: “At present, my country’s iron and steel industry has built the world’s leading production technology and equipment, and the scale of steel production and consumption has remained at 1 billion tons. However, more than 60% of the iron resources required for crude steel production come from imported iron ore, the domestic supply is seriously insufficient, and it is highly dependent on overseas imports. The guarantee of iron resources has become a major strategic issue for the healthy and sustainable development of my country’s economy and society. ”
He Wenbo judged: “In the next stage, my country’s steel demand intensity will remain at a high level, and the iron resources are too dependent on external sources, which will have an adverse impact on the stable operation of the steel industry chain and supply chain, and measures must be taken to fundamentally improve. ”
He Wenbo suggested to start the “cornerstone plan”, starting from the three main sources of iron resources, one is to open up green approval channels to speed up the development of domestic iron ore resources; the second is to prevent investment risks and accelerate the development of overseas iron ore; the third is to support the scrap steel industry development and speed up the recycling of scrap steel resources.
In the “Proposal on vigorously promoting the construction of prefabricated steel structure houses”, He Wenbo said: “The widespread use of steel structures, especially prefabricated steel structure houses, will play a huge role in realizing the industrialization of the construction industry and the implementation of intelligent construction.
